Reviews of Senior Commons at Powder Mill

Both wife and mother are Senior Commons residents. Lifestyle changes that attend having loved ones in a managed care environment require huge amounts of understanding, knowledge, sensitivity on both family and provider. Senior Commons' staff and management also brought experience and a resident-focused environment into the equation of how best to accommodate and impress the resident–ultimately the most important beneficiary on all care and required support. Selecting a new "home" for loved ones was an involved and dauting task. After researching and visiting numerous care facilities and selecting Senior Commons, the facility and its personnel continually impressed our family as having the staff and management professional temperament and client focus that such an undertaking demands.

I would give it all a 5. We really like it there. The building itself is not very inviting looking but I decided to check it out because you guys recommended it. So I went with an open mind. The inside is completely different than the outside. The people are great, it is very clean and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend it.

They went the extra mile to try and find a place I would be happy with. The places they found for me were very nice very and suited my needs. As soon as I am ready I will contact them again. I highly recomend them

Some of the staff show they care. There are some many activities so residents don't just sit in their rooms. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

My aunt [name removed] was living in her own home prior to going to senior commons. She needed more help daily especially with her medications. The family worried about her. She moved in about a year ago and has made so many friends with staff and residents. She likes the food and loves to socialize with everyone! She often goes out on local trips to the markets and stores. She has needed extra care from time to time and we feel She is always in good hands there. The staff is amazing!

I got an in depth tour of this facility and what an impressive place! So many activities, friendly residents and great food options. Caring staff as well with services outside of medical inside the facility. Can't recommend enough. They also accept long term care insurance!

I enjoy the outings, games, entertainment, the best view from every angle. Beautiful birds, cardinals, hulks, deer, bunny rabbits and squirrels. The food is good, with choices and the kitchen staff is kind. There is a chapel, with catholic mass, general Christian service, and communion every Friday at 9.

would recommend to others great facility. nice people and great residents my mom likes it here alot. i knew when i toured this location this was it. she was currently at another location and it wasnt a good fit.

Mom liked location of room. Staff very friendly. Office people help whenever a problem comes up.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. They take very good care of Dad! Lots of group activities, music and games to participate in. Shopping trips & country rides to enjoy.
