The Mission of Senior Commons
at Powder Mill


The mission of Senior Commons at Powder Mill is to provide excellent personal care services to the residents of our Community. Our professional staff respects and recognizes each resident as an individual and is dedicated to providing a quality living environment condusive to health and comfort. We are capable, caring people doing important and satisfying work for the residents who are in our care, therefore, we respect, care about, trust and support each other.

ABOUT US

Senior Commons at Powder Mill is a Residential Care Community licensed by the Department of Public Welfare.

The Community consists of a two-story independent living community and a one-story residential care community with two levels of dementia care. Arlington Court was designed to meet the needs of early-stage memory-impaired residents; Rosewood Court is for more advanced stages of dementia.

Senior Commons at Powder Mill was constructed in four stages, with the residential care building constructed in 1986, the independent living completed in 1996, Rosewood Court completed in 2001, and Arlington Court completed in 2008.

Senior Commons at Powder Mill is managed by Heritage Senior Living who also manages other senior communities in the area including: Traditions of Hershey in Palmyra, PA; Traditions of Hanover in Bethlehem, PA; Heritage Hill in Weatherly, PA; Belle Reve in Milford, PA; and Manor at Market Square in Reading, PA.
